Interesting scenario! The description actually makes me think it would be a great fit for a rogue-like game, where the ultimate goal is to escape. The initial challenge is made to basically be impossible, but you get to keep your knowledge, as well as certain perks or you unlock new possibilities for the next run. Trial and error, but you’re being hunted by a giant girl!
She’s got a great design! Simple, but eye-catching and memorable. I appreciate the setup you’re giving her because, yeah, she looks like the type who would go out of her way to cause as much damage as possible, lol. I can easily picture her just running straight into buildings at full speed, or something similar.
As always, I love all the details you pack into your drawings, as well as fantastic framing and sense of scale.

On the topic of games, I actually did/do have the story style being similar to a visual novel in mind haha
(One aspect I don’t like of ‘regular’ plain-text literature, is that you can just see all the upcoming text without having to advance it forward. Which sort of makes any surprises or twists less sudden, just by the nature of them always being in your periphery vision long before you even reach them. But perhaps I can minimize that with clever formatting.)

Oho! It looks really good Daikaitenf~ I love the way that Lyla is looming over the buildings is perfect. That failed grin is perfect too, when combined with that sweat thats droping from her face there it really helps sell that shes getting annoyed but reallyyyy wants to hide that from the protagonist.
I think Lylas outfit is super good too, the pants and shirt really fit her. The little strings that are also hanging from the fluff on her pants is such a nice little detail too. Im guessing the character on her shirt there is meant to tell the Protagonist that shes the boss there too?
The setting you created for the story sounds really fun! It sounds like the two are slowlyyyyy gonna bond with their cat and mouse game. Especially once the protagonist starts to really understand Lyla there. Makes me wonder what kinda of requests the protagonist can get from Lyla there, like trying to get more information as to how the two are in this time loop? Or maybe try to get her to wear a fancy dress like the girl Lyla thinks she is XD
Anyways I hope you have fun writing it man~ It really does sound like its gonna be a blast to write.
Thanks, and the character on her shirt is the 震 (shin) part of 地震 (jishin, earthquake).
It happens to have 雨 (ame, rain) as the radical at the top, just like the 雷 (rai, thunder) in her name does, so I imagine she felt a fitting connection to it, and it perhaps manifested as a result of her ‘suit the moment’ ability haha
And for sure, yesterday I just kept coming up with so many ideas for the ‘plot’ that surprised myself with how much I liked how they fit.
I even made a connection I hadn’t thought of while eating dinner and genuinely almost cried a bit from how off guard it caught me lol
Especially after playing Seraphic Blue, I really love writing where nothing just happens or is said for the sake of it, but instead actually has depth and ties into other things, or takes on a deeper meaning later, etc.
I’ve more or less finished writing the general ‘lore’ and progression of the ‘plot’, so now I can write everything with it in mind from the very start, with foreshadowing and hints, as opposed to trying to tack on explanations for things after the fact.
I also should be able to respond to your thoughts on Beyond sooner or later with my own too haha, now that I don’t have to worry about Trails stuff potentially biasing my brain, since I’ve got all the major lore and plot ideas already thought of now.
